AppleCare extends your computer’s hardware warranty and phone support to three years from the date of purchase. We highly recommend AppleCare to all of our Mac users. If you plan to call Apple phone support, AppleCare is usually a bargain, as Apple charges $49 per incident after the first 90 days. Phone support includes help with Apple software as well; if you use iLife, iWork, or an Airport network, you can get answers on your software questions directly from Apple. If you purchase an Apple Display or Airport product, your coverage extends to these devices as well. Also, for most products, AppleCare includes limited worldwide coverage, which can be a lifesaver if you are travelling outside the US.
If you already have a Mac that was purchased less than a year ago, you can still enroll it in AppleCare by purchasing an enrollment kit. We carry the full line of AppleCare Enrollment Kits, so if you don't see an enrollment kit for your Mac on our website, please give us a call at 212-929-3645.
AppleCare is also available for Apple TV, iPad, iPod, iPhone, and Apple Display products; these are excellent bargains, as they provide two full years of phone support and hardware coverage for a much lower cost than AppleCare for Mac.
