AppleCare extends your computer’s hardware warranty and phone support to three years from the date of purchase. We highly recommend AppleCare to all of our Mac users. If you plan to call Apple phone support, AppleCare is usually a bargain, as Apple charges $49 per incident after the first 90 days. Phone support includes help with Apple software as well; if you use iLife, iWork, or an Airport network, you can get answers on your software questions directly from Apple. If you purchase an Apple Display or Airport product, your coverage extends to these devices as well. Also, for most products, AppleCare includes limited worldwide coverage, which can be a lifesaver if you are travelling outside the US.
These products are available only with purchase of a new Mac, but they save you time because Tekserve will register your purchase and AppleCare coverage with Apple automatically.
