External Hard Drives

  • Warranty Repairs: No. Please contact your hard drive's manufacturer for a warranty repair (see our list below). Most warranties will not cover any data that you've lost on a broken drive. If the data is important to you, bring your drive into Tekserve for data recovery before you have the drive replaced.
  • Beyond Warranty Repairs: Yes. If the hard drive's enclosure has problems, we can install your drive into a new enclosure. If the hard drive itself has problems, we can recover your data and transfer it onto a new external hard drive.
  • On-Site Set-Up & Troubleshooting: Although we can help add this device to your current Mac set-up, we don't offer on-site service for this product. Additional charges will apply for on-site visits, please call (212) 929-3645 x305 for more information and to schedule an appointment.
  • Data Recovery: Yes
  • Spill Cleaning: Yes
  • Rentals: No, because we can't predict when an external hard drive might fail, we don't recommend renting them.
