Ultracompact USB Power Adapter Exchange Program
The ultracompact power adapters included with iPhone 3G models have been recalled for safety reasons. Apple has determined that under certain conditions the new ultracompact Apple USB power adapter's metal prongs can break off and remain in a power outlet, creating a risk of electric shock. Apple has received reports of detached blades involving a very small percentage of the adapters sold, but no injuries have been reported.If your adapter matches the picture below, Apple will replace it for free. If your adapter has a green dot on the bottom, you already have the new, redesigned adapter and do not need to participate in this exchange program.
There are two ways to exchange your adapter:
- Order a replacement adapter via the Apple's web site. These replacement adapters will ship within one week of your order.
- Exchange your adapter at an Apple Retail Store starting 10/10/08. You must bring your iPhone with your adapter to complete the exchange process. Tekserve cannot exchange adapters.

For warranty repairs, make sure to bring in the covered computer's serial number and your base station's purchase receipt to Tekserve. (If you purchased your computer and base station from Tekserve we'll have the receipts on file for you.)

Time Capsule Repair Extension Program
Some Time Capsules sold between approximately February 2008 and June 2008 may not power on or may shut down unexpectedly after starting up.Some Time Capsules with serial numbers in the following range may be affected:
XX807XXXXXX - XX814XXXXXXIf your Time Capsule falls within the serial number range above and it does not power on or shuts down unexpectedly after starting up, it may be eligible for repair or replacement.
Bring your Time Capsule into Tekserve to see if you are eligible for a free replacement. Your Time Capsule must be less than three years old.
If you believe that you paid for a repair or replacement Time Capsule due to this issue, call Apple at (800) 275-2273 to request a refund.
