The color of my prints doesn’t match my screen.

You think it would be simple to get a good-looking printout. But this is one of the trickiest tasks of modern computers. The process depends on how close you want to get.

Good Accuracy: Your display and printer need to be calibrated to match. Otherwise, a printed image may appear yellow simply because your display is set too red and so on. You can fix this issue with a colorimeter, which are around $149-$449. These modern devices directly measure the colors from your screen, creating a custom profile that is used by Photoshop and other applications to display images in the most accurate way possible.

Better Accuracy: To complete the process, you need to measure the characteristics of your particular printer with a spectrophotometer. These devices are useless without a professional who knows how to take accurate measurements and build the correct profile for your system.

Tekserve offers a great lineup for all your imaging needs from Wacom, LaCie, NEC, Eizo, Epson and ColorMunki.
