How do I set up a projector?
Start with your Mac and the projector turned off. Connect the computer cable between your Mac’s video port and the projector’s computer port. You may need an adapter if your computer doesn’t have the same video port as the computer. Use the included power cord to plug in the projector to any power outlet.
Turn on your computer. Some projectors have a lens cap or sliding door on the front. Take off the lens cap or slide the door open completely. Then press the power button on the projector to turn it on.
If the image displayed isn’t what you anticipated, you may need to make adjustments in the Display pane of your System Preferences. You can adjust the resolution, color, and arrangement of your built-in display and the projector there. You can also press F7 on most Apple portables to enable mirroring without accessing the System Preferences. Use the projector’s built-in feet or a book to raise or lower the image to match your screen’s height. Then use the zoom and focus rings to adjust the image size and clarity.
After your presentation is complete, turn off the projector by pressing the power button BUT DON’T UNPLUG IT. Let the projector cool down for a few minutes before unplugging the power cable.
