Can I install my own Memory (RAM)?

If you tend towards geeky, installing RAM on many current Macs isn’t open heart surgery. However, it is possible to break your logic board in the process, which requires a very expensive repair to fix (not covered under any warranty). You should also take anti-static precautions to avoid shocking the RAM chip or your logic board (which will wreck them). So if you don’t have any experience installing RAM, we recommend you let one of our certified technicians do it for you while you wait.
