Tekserve offers out-of-warranty iPod repairs and battery replacements for select models. Check www.tekserve.com/service/ipods for the latest details. Apple has chosen to restrict iPod warranty repairs to themselves, so unfortunately we can’t help you if the iPod is covered by warranty (but we can sell you iPod AppleCare to avoid the $30 service fee on warranty repairs).
