iPod issues?
Apple says that these five steps (known as the five Rs) will conquer most iPod issues:
- Reset your iPod.
- Retry with a different USB port.
- Restart your computer.
- Reinstall iPod and iTunes software.
- Restore your iPod.
They will walk you through it at www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs.
This won't solve hardware problems like a cracked screen or a bad battery. Tekserve offers out of warranty iPod repairs and Apple performs warranty iPod repairs. You can check your iPod's warranty status and get in-warranty repairs options here. If you do need a warranty repair on your iPod, Apple charges a $30 fee (even if you go the Genius Bar) for repairs. You can avoid that fee by purchasing AppleCare for your iPod before its one year warranty expires.
