What free applications should I install on my Mac?
Here are some of the most pouplar free applications you might want to install to your Mac:

- Adobe Flash - Required to play some online media content

- Firefox - Keep an alternative web browser around in case Safari has issues
- VLC - Allows you to play a few video and audio formats that your built-in software won't handle
- Perian - Solves most of the "file type not supported" issues in QuickTime to allow you to play more audio and video formats

- Skitch - Makes taking screen shots and marking up graphics a breeze
- Dropbox - Sync your files between multiple devices so you always have the documents you need, 2 GB of storage is free (which is plenty for day-to-day documents)
- Evernote - Extremely popular way to save notes, web pages, and more. Can sync between mutliple computers and your mobile devices so you always have them with you.
