Look for our series of ads around town featuring the works of New York City artists.

The first in the ADS4ARTISTS series features the work of photographer Walker Esner:

Walker describes himself as:

A native New York photographer and avid reader of Don Delillo. An ardent ego builder for all who stand for a portrait and a graduate from the School of Visual Arts. Esner has taken on the world and put it in a bunch of rectangles.

The Dead Laptop Series & Other Artifacts of the Recent Present
First NYC Showing By Michael Dinges

BE THERE NOW: A 2-minute tour through the Art@Tekserve exhibition of The Dead Laptop Series by Michael Dinges.

In November 2011, The LowerEastSide Girls Club visited our show of the DEAD LAPTOP SERIES by artist Michael Dinges. Here is a glimpse of what they saw:

"Michael Dinges investigates everything from the second law of thermodynamics to consumer waste in his unique adaptations of scrimshaw. His canvas of choice tends towards objects and materials that we have, metaphorically or actually, consigned to the waste heap. The marks he makes on these objects force us to reconsider what we used them for in the first place and whether they're now devoid of value. Do they disappear just because we threw them away?" --Keith Recker, Hand/Eye Magazine
