    Creative Fridays: The Art and Design of Woody Batts

    Today’s working artists wear a lot of hats. Designer one day, producer the next—print, web, and video production demands pull the modern creative in many directions.

    Woody Batts describes himself as a “360° creative. A cocktail consisting of artist, designer, technophile, educator and entrepreneur, shaken with vigor and garnished with a New York City-by-way-of-Baltimore edge.”

    Woody’s interactive design work has won five Webby awards, and his personal work has been featured on MTV—even inspiring a line of eyewear and apparel.

    A former professor at Parsons the New School for Design and Maryland Institute College of Art, designer and artist Woody Batts will share his philosophy on how side projects can be used as a tool to experiment and improve one’s main goals, as well as some insider tips on working as a designer.
